Habitat Generally found burrowed in lotic sediments, but also lives in lentic and littoral sediments. Gomphidae larvae are more common in flowing waters than other families of dragonflies and damselflies.
Feeding Information Hides in sediments and ambushes prey.
Water Quality Tolerance Primarily somewhat sensitive - some species are very sensitive to somewhat tolerant.
