Description |

Habitat |
Primarily lentic-littoral but also lotic-depositional. Commonly found around dense growths of aquatic vegetation in shallow water bodies. Associated frequently with filamentous algae, macroalgae and aquatic vascular plants. |
Feeding Information |
Larvae and adult Haliplidae primarily feed on filamentous or macroalgae by biting, chewing or piercing cells and sucking juices. |
Water Quality Tolerance |
Somewhat tolerant. |
