Description |
Usually <10mm in length. They are unsegmented and smooth with a tapered head and tail. Their body is frequently clear. When alive, they move with rapid, whip-like movements. |
Habitat |
Can be found in virtually every type of habitat. Generally found just beneath or on the surface of sediments. |

Often predatory but feeds on a variety of organic and inorganic matter, such as algae, fecal matter, dead organisms, and living tissues. |
