Habitat Lentic-littoral, lotic-depositional, lotic-erosional. Habitats range from small springs to large rivers, ponds to marshes or lakes. Some live in temporary pools and streams while others live in damp, more terrestrial locations.
Feeding Information Shredder-detrivores or herbivores, collector-gatherers, and scrapers.
Water Quality Tolerance Mainly facultative. Limnephilidae is a very diverse family so a wide range of tolerance to pollution is expected.
