Description 8-29mm. Their lower lip is shaped like a bowl or spoon, best seen in lateral view. They may have a row of stubby mid-dorsal spines or hooks along its abdomen. Habitat Primarily lentic-littoral and lotic-depositional. Libellulidae nymphs are usually the most abundant family of dragonflies found in ponds, lakes, swamps, marshes, and ditches.
Feeding Information Engulfer predators.
Water Quality Tolerance Mainly very tolerant. Some species of common Libellulidae can tolerate very low DO concentrations.
